Sorry…; MORE Baseball

Sorry I haven’t been posting as much lately. I am really busy with Ceramics Class, French Class and Summer Baseball. I will try to post every day again, but my life is more important to me than this blog. Sorry, and I hope you understand… You do understand, don’t you?

I am pretty shaken up. We won our baseball game 4-2 (the second win in a row and now we are 4 wins and 7 loses), but something happened. First I will tell you how I did: Crappy. That explains everything. I grounded out twice and struck-out once. It gets tiring, not being on base. But I am the lead-off hitter, so I know my coach has faith in me and I appreciate that. If he thought I was doing really bad, I would be taken out of the lead-off position. I played Centerfielder, but nothing came to me.

The thing that happened is pretty debatable, you know, to talk about. It is kind of gruesome and I’m not sure if the victim would appreciate me writing this. So, I won’t go into much detail. Alright, so there was a kid who pitches 70 MPH on an average. There was a guy on first base. The first basemen wanted the ball. So he went to the base to be ready for the attempted pick-off throw. The pitcher threw it… and the first basemen got hurt. The throw was high. It was about to the first basemen’s head. He reached up with this glove hand to catch it, but missed. The ball traveled at least 65 MPH, if not more, to his head. It hit the rim of his have and then got his face. He fell down and started screaming. It was horrible. Let’s just say, there was some blood and he needs stitches. Now I have to go eat dinner. I feel really sorry for him. It was such a fluke and when these things happen, you wonder “Why me? What did I do.” It is a question that will never be answered. Ever.
